
HALE CENTER, TX – The #14-ranked Floydada Whirlwinds (23-5, 5-1) played the Hale Center Owls (8-12, 2-4) in district action on Tuesday night.
After struggling to generate offense in their last game, the Whirlwinds had no issue putting points on the board in their game against the Owls.
Floydada would take the lead early in the first quarter and maintain that lead through halftime, when the score was 41-39.
The Winds’ defense generated turnovers, which were converted into points, and they were able to increase their lead to 67-53 at the end of the third quarter.
In the final quarter, it was a game-high 32 points from the Floydada offense that would seal the deal against the Owls and secure the victory, 99-66.
