LOCKNEY, TX – The Lockney Longhorns (12-12, 4-6) played host to the Ralls Jackrabbits (4-21, 2-8) in a district matchup on Tuesday.
The Longhorns were able to jump out to an early lead against the Jackrabbits as they went on a 19-8 run to end the first quarter.
The teams went back and forth in the second quarter, but Lockney maintained their lead 32-21 going into halftime.
Lockney struggled offensively in the third quarter as they were only able to put five points on the board, and their lead was cut down to just five going into the fourth quarter.
The Longhorns managed to hold off the Jackrabbits’ fourth-quarter push and were victorious over Ralls, 52-48.
Lockney’s senior Johnathan Cienfuegos had a double double with 12 points and 12 rebounds in the Longhorns’ win on Tuesday night.
