Jessie Lee Holcombe, age 85, of Floydada, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, in Plainview. Per Jessie’s wishes, there is to be no visitation or services. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Jessie was born to Jess and Daisy White on November 3, 1937, in Donley County, Texas. Jessie was an educator who taught science in Sanderson, Texas, and Springlake-Earth ISD for over 30 years, where she then retired to her family home in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Jessie and her late husband, R.C., built their family home in Ruidoso with many summers of hard work to complete the home. Jessie enjoyed keeping up with her grandson Luke and his endeavors competing in track at West Texas A&M University (WTAMU).
Her son survives Jessie; Rex Holcombe, and wife, Denise of Floydada; her sisters; Dorthy Martin of Midland, Texas, and Carolynn Taylor of Memphis, Texas; and brother; Jerry White of Peoria, Arizona. She is also survived by her grandson Luke Holcombe of Floydada, Texas.
