PLAINVIEW, TX – The Floydada Lady Winds (18-11, 9-5) played against the Hale Center Lady Owls (23-9, 9-5) on Friday in a playoff seeding game.
Both teams were back and forth in the first quarter, and the game was tied at 14-14.
Both teams struggled offensively in the second quarter but still remained even at 21 as they went into halftime.
The Lady Winds had control on both ends of the floor in the third quarter as they held Hale Center to 4 points and gained the lead, 37-25.
In the fourth quarter, the Lady Winds were able to hold off the Lady Owls and claim the victory, 50-41.
With the win on Friday, the Lady Winds will go into the postseason as the #2 seed and will face Vega in the first round in Canyon on Tuesday.
