FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Lady Winds are participating in the FLIP FM Softball Tournament and played three games on Thursday.
In their first game, the Lady Winds matched up against the Seagraves Lady Eagles.
Floydada was able to win the game 21-1 over the Lady Eagles.
This win would mark the 200th career win for Lady Winds’ head coach Armando Morales.
Congrats to Coach Morales in this big achievement!
The second game was a matchup between Floydada and the Palo Duro Lady Dons.
The Lady Winds would score six runs in the first inning and then double their lead in the fourth to shut out the Lady Dons and secure the 12-0 victory.
In their final game on Thursday, the Lady Winds played against the Littlefield Lady Cats.
Floydada’s Carisa Fernandez would get the Lady Winds on the board with a solo home run, but they trailed 3-1.
The Lady Winds would score two runs in the 5th inning but come up short against the Littlefield, 4-3.
Floydada will play Post on Friday at 8:00 p.m. in their final game of pool play.
