
NEW DEAL, TX – The Lockney Lady Horns (8-5, 0-1) began district play in softball against the New Deal Lady Lions on Tuesday.
The Lady Horns would strike first and go up 2-1 in the first two innings.
The third inning was explosive for both teams as Lockney scored five runs, but New Deal would tie the game with 6 runs in the bottom half of the inning.
New Deal would take the lead in the fifth inning with the score at 11-9.
In the bottom of the sixth, the Lady Lions were able to add seven more to their lead and go up 18-9.
Lockney was unable to produce enough runs in the top of the 7th to complete a comeback and fell to the Lady Lions 18-12.
