FLOYDADA, TX – Forty years after her grandfather left Floyd County, Taryn Minter opened her solo law practice (August 1, 2022) in the community that still reveres his name.
L.G. Wilson was a legendary coach who led the Whirlwinds from 1968 through 1982, and his daughter graduated from Floydada High School, which is why Taryn was so familiar with the area.
“I began practicing in November 2008 for a law firm in Conroe, Texas ( a suburb of Houston). My family and I moved to Aiken in December 2016, and on January 2, 2017, I opened my solo practice, Taryn Minter Law, in Plainview,” she explains.
That’s not the only reason she expanded her business from Hale to Floyd County. “I have discovered that I prefer to practice in Floyd County and surrounding counties and saw a need for local attorneys in this area. My husband is an agent with Texas Farm Bureau in Floydada, and I would like to work closer to him.”
Minter hopes to expand her business in Floyd and surrounding counties to eventually consider it the primary office and maybe one day to “serve the communities in an elected position.”
She provides legal services – family law, criminal defense, probate, and estate planning and is available online at www.tarynminterlaw.com
Tayrn Minter Law is located at 201 W. California St. in Floydada and is open Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
