FLOYDADA, TX – Taxpayers may find some relief this year, as the Floydada Collegiate ISD School Board proposed a new reduced tax rate for 2023-2024.
At a meeting last Tuesday, the Board adopted a proposed rate of 1.3135 percent which is .20 lower than the current rate.
The proposal will now go before the community during a Public Hearing on the tax rate and budget on August 29, 2023, at 6:50 pm.
The new rate is based upon M & O of 0.8263 and I & S of 0.4872 and follows the Texas Comptrollers rule: “No-New Revenue Tax Rate and the Voter-Approval Tax Rate.”
