Manuel "JR" Ochoa (Lubbock)
Manuel “JR” Ochoa, age 41, of Lubbock, passed away on December 6, 2023. A family visitation and gathering time will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Floydada.
Manuel was born August 31, 1982 in Lubbock. He was the son of Manuel Ochoa, Eva Cisneros, and stepson of late Alvaro Cisneros Sr., all of Lubbock.
He worked for Freedom 53 Construction. He loved spending time with his children and cheering on his favorite teams. He was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles and Texas Longhorns fan. In his spare time, he enjoyed hanging out with his friends, just having a good time. He was the life of the party, and his laugh was one of a kind (unforgettable). He attended school in Floydada and graduated from Floydada High School. His family, friends, and everyone who knew him will deeply miss him.
He is preceded in death by his step-father, Alvaro Cisneros, Sr.; grandparents, Marcelino and Cecilia Cortez and Adela Ochoa, along with many more loved ones.
Those left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Kylie Ochoa, and son Damien Ochoa (Aniyah Davila ), both of Lubbock; his mother, Eva Cisneros, and father, Manuel Ochoa; sisters, Laura (Jaime) Castillo, Vickie Ochoa (Arnulfo Osornio), Lisa Ochoa and Juliana Cisneros, brother’s, Richard (Jennifer) Hurtado; Alvaro Cisneros, Jr all of Lubbock and honorary brother, Cesar Garcia of Floydada. He is also survived by two nieces, six nephews, and a host of other relatives.
