LUBBOCK, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds battled the Wildorado Mustangs in the 2023 Caprock Classic on Friday afternoon.
Floydada found themselves down early in the first quarter, but thanks to their defensive pressure, were able to create turnovers and capitalize to take the lead back.
Floydada would maintain the lead for the remainder of the game and secured the victory 54-41.
The Whirlwinds will play in the championship game against San Angelo TLCA on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Frenship High School.
