SMYER, TX – The Floydada Lady Winds were on the road Friday in Smyer for a district matchup.
Floydada’s defense held the Lady Cats to just two points in the first quarter with a 15-2 lead.
The Lady Winds extended their lead to 31-16 going into halftime.
Smyer tried to fight back in the second half, but the Lady Winds held off and secured the 50-31 victory.
Floydada was led by senior Sierra Snowden, who had 20 points and 10 rebounds.
Zay Santos had 14 points and 5 rebounds in the win on Friday.
The Lady Winds move to 5-0 in district and will travel to Ralls on Tuesday.
