SMYER, TX – The #7-ranked Floydada Whirlwinds were in district action on Friday night against the Smyer Bobcats.
In the first quarter, the Whirlwinds got up quickly to a 16-8 lead.
Floydada was able to continue pressure in the second quarter and went into halftime up 31-16.
It was all Floydada in the second half, as they would go on to a 68-42 victory over Smyer.
The Whirlwinds were led by junior Braun Hobbs, who had a double-double with 31 points and 13 rebounds, and junior Ty Henderson, who had 20 points and 7 rebounds.
Floydada moves to 3-0 in district play and will travel to Ralls on Tuesday.
