LOCKNEY, TX – The Lockney Longhorns were in action on Tuesday night as they hosted the Sudan Hornets in a district game.
The Longhorns were able to get their offense rolling in the first quarter as they took a 26-18 lead.
Sudan quickly fought back in the second quarter and would take a 40-35 lead going into halftime.
Both teams went back and forth in the third quarter, but it was the Hornets that maintained their five-point lead going into the fourth quarter at 59-54.
Lockney fought back in the final quarter but was unable to make the comeback against Sudan and would fall 79-73 on Tuesday.
Longhorns’ Daniel Alvarado led the team in scoring with 23 points.
Haygen Lefevre and Nathan Hernandez also contributed to Lockney’s scoring with 12 points each.
