Six Fire Calls During January Kept Volunteers Busy

FLOYDADA, TX – A total of six calls were answered by the Floydada Volunteer Fire Department in January, including three grass fires.

The first involved a small grass fire north of town on US70, with two more over the next nine days.

Volunteers also were called to a house fire at 231 W. California Street during the morning of January 18th, and to assist with a house fire in Flomot (with Matador) around noon.
