FLOYDADA, TX – The #11-ranked Floydada Whirlwinds hosted the Ralls Jackrabbits in a district game on Friday night.
The Jackrabbits jumped out to an early lead, but thanks to defensive pressure, the Whirlwinds took the lead at the end of the first quarter.
Floydada would extend their lead in the second quarter and go into halftime with a 10-point lead, 34-24.
Ralls would fight back in the second half, but Floydada would secure the district victory, 63-54.
The Whirlwinds were led in scoring by Ty Henderson and Aiden Trevino, both with 16 points.
Also contributing to the win was Hagen Hinsley with 14 points.
Floydada moves to 10-1 in district play and will travel to Olton on Tuesday.
