Lockney General Hospital District Reports Loss for December

LOCKNEY, TX – Despite an increase in hospital services for December, Lockney General Hospital Board reported a net loss of $210,544 for the month.

Vince DiFranco, CEO of Mangold Memorial Hospital, presented the information to board members during a monthly meeting.

There were 865 clinic visits and 13 acute admissions for 41 patient days across five observation patients. In addition, he reported 261 ER visits, five procedures performed, more than 3,900 tests, and 68 CT scans.

Gross revenue of $1,876,401 for December was down from the same month in 2022 ($1,942,772) but above the budget of $1,829,158.

DiFranco did report “a nice mix of outpatient, inpatient, and swing bed treatments” in Physical Therapy, with 351 overall visits in November.

The next meeting will be Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at noon in the hospital conference room.
