DIMMITT, TX – The Lockney Longhorns (0-5) baseball team was on the road Monday as they traveled to battle the Dimmitt Bobcats (6-2) in a non-district game.
Dimmitt started the game with a 7-0 lead after the end of the third inning.
The Longhorns fought back in the top of the fourth inning, as they would drive in four runs to cut the lead down to 7-4.
Lockney would go on to score one run in the sixth and four in the seventh, but would fall short to the Bobcats, 11-9.
Lockney’s Xavier Jimenez led the team with 5 RBI.
The Longhorns will host Sudan in their next game on March 12.
