FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds were in non-district action on Monday night as they hosted the Lubbock Cooper Liberty JV.
Floydada (0-5-1) had a three run third inning to take a 4-3 lead.
Liberty was able to tie the game 5-5 in the top of the sixth inning.
Both teams’ defense played shutdown for the remainder of the game, with the final score 5-5.
Floydada will travel to play in the Springlake-Earth Tournament, beginning on Thursday.
