FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds played host to the Olton Mustangs in a district battle on Tuesday.
The Mustangs scored two runs in the first inning to take a 2-0 lead.
Olton’s offense would continue in the second inning, adding four more runs to extend their lead 6-0.
Floydada tried to answer back with one run in the second and one in the third, but still trailed 7-2.
In the top of the fourth inning, the Mustangs scored six more runs to go ahead 13-2.
The Whirlwinds were unable to make a comeback in the bottom of the fifth inning and fall to Olton 13-3.
Floydada is now 2-10-1 overall and 0-3 in district play.
