SUDAN, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds were in district action on Tuesday as they traveled to Sudan to battle the Hornets.
Sudan jumped out to an early 8-1 lead going into the top of the third inning.
The Whirlwinds cut into the lead after scoring two runs in the third inning, but still trailed 8-3.
Going into the top of the sixth inning, Floydada tried to make a comeback by scoring five runs, but would still fall short 12-8.
The Whirlwinds fall to 0-5 in district play but will look for revenge on Saturday as they play host to Sudan.
