FLOYD COUNTY, TX – Voters from Lockney and Floydada turned out to elect members to their respective city councils, while two seats were filled for Lockney ISD on Saturday.
Mike Lass defeated Justin Wright for an At-Large seat on the Lockney ISD School Board, 58% to 42%, and Cecilia Alvarado defeated Alberto Soto-Gonzales, 78% to 22%, to win the District 2 seat.
Bryan Martin and Gabe De La Fuente were elected to the Floydada City Council, while Steve Wright and Dart Carthel won the election to Lockney’s City Council.
