WOLFFORTH, TX – The Floydada Lady Winds were in action for game one of the regional quarter final on Thursday against Colorado City.
The Lady Wolves would score first in the top of the third inning to take a 1-0 lead.
Floydada would quickly respond in the bottom of the fourth inning, scoring two runs and taking the lead 2-1.
The Lady Wolves scored one run in the top of the fifth inning and one in the top of the sixth inning to tie the game at 3-3.
The game would be extended all the way to the bottom of the ninth inning when Floydada’s Madison Pyle hit the game winning single to score Soriah Wickware and secure the game one victory 4-3.
Game two will be on Saturday at 12:00 noon, with game three if needed to follow.
