LOCKNEY, TX – Floyd County authorities are investigating a Sunday night homicide involving an 8-month-old female from Floydada.
A sheriff’s report states that the child was taken by private vehicle to the W.J. Mangold Memorial emergency room, was unresponsive upon arrival, and was pronounced dead.
Justice of the Peace Darrell Rasco ordered an autopsy, and Sheriff Paul Raisez says that as of right now, “we are treating this case as a homicide investigation.”
