LITTLEFIELD, TX – The Floydada Lady Winds came out swinging Thursday night, claiming a decisive 12-3 win over the Post Lady Antelopes in Game One of the second round of the playoffs.

The Lady Winds wasted no time putting pressure on the Post defense, scoring in five of the seven innings, including a pivotal sixth inning where they pushed across four runs to break the game open. Despite both teams recording five hits apiece, Floydada’s aggressive base running and discipline at the plate paid off, capitalizing on Post’s 13 defensive errors to extend the lead and secure the win.

Floydada’s defense was also on point, holding Post scoreless over the final six innings after a brief rally by the Lady Antelopes in the second. The Lady Winds committed just one error in the field, playing a clean and confident game behind their pitcher.

With the series now leaning in Floydada’s favor, the Lady Winds will look to close things out today in Game Two, set for 5:00 p.m. If necessary, Game Three will follow 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game Two.

Floydada fans are encouraged to come out and support the Lady Winds as they aim to punch their ticket to the next round of the postseason.
