LOCKNEY, TX – February brought a welcome profit for the Lockney General Hospital District.
Vince DiFranco, CEO of W.J. Mangold Memorial Hospital, reported total gross revenue (charges) for the month was $2,208,067 compared to a budget of $1,959,992 and $1,743,026 in February 2024. Other operating revenue was $57,727, and adjustments were $1,217,399. According to DiFranco, overall expenses were below budget at $952,697, and with the addition of non-operating revenue of $101,430, the district experienced a net gain of $197,128.
In February, there were 15 acute admissions for 51 patient days and 14 observation patients. The ER volume was 262 visits for the month, with an increase in Flu, COVID, and Strep Cases. The district also performed 3,845 tests, and the Radiology volume was 319 for the month, including 76 CT scans. There were 20 outpatient specialty infusions for the month and another 330 Physical Therapy visits.
