Lady Winds make school history by defeating the Colorado City Lady Wolves on Saturday.
CANYON, TX – The Floydada Lady Winds are just one series away from the state tournament as they prepare to take on the Clarendon Lady Broncos in the 2A Regional Final Championship this weekend.
The best-of-three series will be held at Canyon High School Softball Field in Canyon, Texas. Game One kicks off Friday, May 16 at 6:00 p.m., followed by Game Two on Saturday, May 17 at 1:00 p.m. If necessary, a decisive Game Three will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game Two.
After an impressive playoff run, the Lady Winds are looking to keep their momentum alive and punch their ticket to the state tournament. Led by a strong pitching rotation and a lineup packed with power and speed, Floydada enters the series with confidence and determination.
This matchup will be a battle between two talented teams, but the Lady Winds have shown time and again that they thrive under pressure. With a community rallying behind them, Floydada is ready to leave it all on the field.
Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Lady Winds in Canyon. Admission is $5 per person. The venue will accept THSCA, TGCA, and Admin passes.
