Lady Winds Look to Bounce Back in Game Two Against Clarendon

CANYON, TX — With their backs against the wall, the Floydada Lady Winds will take the field Saturday afternoon in Canyon hoping to even the series against the Clarendon Lady Broncos in Game Two of the 2A Regional Final.

Floydada dropped Game One in a 4-2 extra-inning heartbreaker on Friday night. The Lady Winds took a 2-1 lead in the fifth inning, but Clarendon rallied with a run in the seventh to tie the game and added two more in the ninth to pull away.

Despite the loss, Floydada showed resilience and strong pitching, holding the Lady Broncos scoreless in six of the nine innings. Now, the Lady Winds must regroup quickly as they face a must-win scenario to keep their postseason run alive.

First pitch for Game Two is set for 1:00 p.m. Saturday in Canyon. If a deciding Game Three is necessary, it will be played 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game Two.
