LOCKNEY, TX – As summer kicks off across Texas and families begin to enjoy a well-deserved break, Lockney ISD is already preparing for the year ahead. In an effort to support early planning for parents, staff, and community organizations, the district has officially released the 2025–2026 academic calendar.
By sharing the calendar now, Lockney ISD hopes to help families coordinate vacations, childcare, extracurricular activities, and other commitments around the upcoming school year schedule. With the support of our community, planning ahead ensures a smoother, more successful school year for everyone.
The first day of school for students will be Tuesday, August 12, 2025. The district will continue to follow the popular four-day school week model, which has been well received by both families and staff for its flexibility, improved attendance, and enhanced focus on academic performance.
