Floydada Lady Winds Shine Bright in 2025 District 2-2A All-District Softball Honors

Lady Winds make school history by defeating the Colorado City Lady Wolves on Saturday.

FLOYDADA, TX — The Floydada Lady Winds have made a powerful statement in the 2025 District 2-2A All-District softball selections, with numerous players earning top honors after an impressive season on the diamond.

Senior catcher Kirsten Pyle was named Offensive MVP, showcasing her leadership and hitting power throughout the season. Her younger sister, Madison Pye, a sophomore standout, was awarded Defensive MVP for her dominant presence in the circle as pitcher.

Freshman Bella Perez made an immediate impact, earning Newcomer of the Year as the team’s starting shortstop — a strong indicator of a promising future for the Lady Winds program.

The Lady Winds were well-represented across both First and Second Team selections:

First Team All-District Selections:
Jenna Martinez (FR) – Infield, 1st Base

Madilynn Rodriguez (SR) – Outfield, Centerfield

Alli Hernandez (JR) – Utility, Outfield/Infield

Bailey McHam (FR) – Designated Player (DP)

Second Team All-District Selections:
Soriah Wickware (SR) – Infield, 3rd Base

Karah Cavazos (FR) – Infield, 2nd Base

Rilynn Hinsley (SO) – Outfield, Right Field

The recognition reflects not only the individual efforts of these student-athletes but also the team’s overall chemistry, hard work, and strong coaching. With a mix of seasoned seniors and promising underclassmen, the Lady Winds have laid a strong foundation for continued success in years to come.
