LOCKNEY, TX – The spirit of Independence Day will come alive a little early this year in Lockney as First Baptist Church (FBC) Lockney hosts its 2nd Annual 4th of July Celebration on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. The event will take place from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on the church grounds and is open to the entire community.

This family-friendly evening promises an atmosphere of fun, fellowship, and patriotic pride. Attendees can enjoy classic summer treats, including hot dogs and s’mores, which will be served between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. In addition to great food, there will be plenty of activities to keep all ages entertained. A large waterslide will be available to help beat the summer heat, and various yard games will be set up for families and friends to enjoy together.

FBC Lockney invites everyone in the community to come out, bring a lawn chair or blanket, and spend the evening celebrating freedom, family, and faith. Whether you’re looking to connect with neighbors, entertain the kids, or just enjoy a relaxed evening outdoors, this event offers something for everyone.

As Lockney prepares for the Fourth, this gathering is a perfect opportunity to reflect on the blessings of community and country in a welcoming, joyful setting.
