FLOYD COUNTY, TX – Local youth are in for a fun and enriching July with a variety of upcoming workshops and day camps designed to build skills, encourage creativity, and promote teamwork.

On Monday, July 14th, a Mosaic Workshop will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. This hands-on creative experience gives participants the chance to design and take home their very own mosaic tray. The workshop costs $20 per person and includes all necessary supplies and a snack. With only a few spots left, early registration is encouraged.

Later in the month, the Culinary Day Camp will take place on Thursday, July 24th. Open to youth who have completed 2nd grade and up, the camp will offer a full day of culinary exploration. Participants will hone their cooking skills, create tasty treats, and even engage in a community service project. The day concludes with some fun and relaxation at the pool. The $25 registration fee covers all supplies, lunch, snacks, and pool admission. Space is limited for this event as well.

Wrapping up the month are two special workshops focused on life and interpersonal skills. On Monday, July 28th, youth can take part in the “Skills for Success” workshop, which focuses on resume building, professionalism, and personal strengths. The following day, Tuesday, July 29th, “The Art of Peace” workshop will guide participants through working effectively with others in team settings, including those with whom they may not always see eye to eye.

These events are excellent opportunities for young people to learn new skills, build confidence, and enjoy a meaningful summer experience.
