FLOYDADA, TX — After an absence of nearly two decades, the Miss Floyd County Pageant made its long-awaited return on July 26, hosted at the Floydada High School auditorium. The evening was filled with excitement, pride, and community spirit as contestants of all ages took the stage.
Incoming Floydada High School senior Payten Shuping was crowned Miss Floyd County Queen 2025, with her court including:
Teen Miss: Monze Davila
Petite Miss: Cristalina Cruz
Mini Miss: Tinlee Grace Edwards
Tiny Miss: Aizley Apodaca
Earlier in the day, the Baby Miss Pageant was held. Romy Jade Rubalcava was crowned Baby Queen, and Jayla Grace Garcia earned the title of Princess.
The event would not have been possible without the support of many behind the scenes. Special thanks go to Dr. Gilbert Treviño for the use of the school auditorium, and to Remington Ricketts, who served as the emcee for the evening and kept the program flowing with energy and professionalism. Credit for the stunning stage lighting and music goes to JD Pesina, whose technical expertise helped bring the production to life.
The return of the pageant marks a celebration of tradition, youth, and community pride in Floyd County — a testament to what’s possible when neighbors come together to celebrate their own.
