FLOYDADA, TX — The Floydada City Council approved multiple agenda items during its regular meeting on Tuesday, July 29.
Councilmembers unanimously awarded HOT funds to both the Floydada Whirlwinds Booster Club and the Youth Iron-Man Football League.
A resolution was also passed recognizing the contributions of the South Plains Community Action Association.
The council voted to repeal a no-parking ordinance on the south side of Crockett Street between First Street and Texas Avenue.
A budget workshop was scheduled for August 19 at 6:00 p.m.
City Manager Darrell Gooch reported on expected summer energy challenges following a meeting with AEP; no action was taken.
The council also approved routine financial matters and adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
