LOCKNEY, TX – Lockney Elementary School is excited to welcome students and families back to campus for its annual Meet the Teacher event, scheduled for Thursday, August 7, 2025. The event will take place from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. and is open to all students in Pre-K through 5th grade.
This important back-to-school tradition gives Little Longhorns the opportunity to meet their teachers for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year, explore their classrooms, and get a feel for their new learning environment. It’s also a chance for parents and guardians to connect with staff and gather helpful information for a smooth start to the academic year.
Students are encouraged to bring their school supplies during the event so they can begin settling into their classroom spaces right away. This not only helps lighten the load on the first day of school but also gives teachers a head start on organizing materials.
Lockney Elementary looks forward to seeing familiar faces and greeting new ones as the campus kicks off another year of learning, growth, and community.
