LOCKNEY, TX – This Sunday, August 10, the Lockney I.S.D. campuses will open their doors to the community for a special time of prayer and reflection. Beginning at 12:30 p.m., community members are invited to walk through each campus, lifting up the schools, teachers, administrators, school board members, and students in prayer.
The event is supported by local churches, who encourage residents to take this opportunity to come together in unity and faith, asking for guidance, safety, and blessings over the upcoming academic year. Prayer walking offers a chance not only to intercede for the needs of the district but also to show visible support for the staff and students who will soon fill the classrooms.
As the 2025–2026 school year approaches, the hope is that this time of shared prayer will set a positive tone for the months ahead, fostering a spirit of encouragement and community. With hearts and minds focused on a successful year, participants look forward to covering every corner of the district in prayer, trusting that this will be the best school year yet.
