Floydada Council to Weigh Budget, Variance, and Roof Bids

FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada City Council will meet tonight, August 19, at 6:30 p.m. in City Hall to consider several key agenda items. The council will hear a recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Committee regarding a variance request for property at 602 West Jackson Street. Members will also review a budget proposal from the Mackenzie Municipal Water Authority, presented by Jessica Shelton.

Another item will address taking bids to replace the roof at the Senior Citizens Building at 925 West Crockett Street. The council will approve minutes from the July 29 meeting, and then review the city’s July cash balances, investments, transfers, and bills. The meeting will open with an invocation, pledges, and a public forum, and adjourn following financial approvals.

The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with an Operation Budget workshop.
