Vietnam Veteran and City Council Member Honored with Commemorative Flag

LOCKNEY, TX – The Texas South Plains Honor Flight Organization in Lubbock has partnered with City of Lockney Attorney Lanny Voss to present a special tribute to Lockney City Council Member Ed Marks in recognition of his service to the United States during the Vietnam War.

Commissioned by the organization at Voss’s request, the commemorative flag has been custom-made to honor Councilman Marks’s military contributions. The flag features high-quality embroidery detailing his name, branch of service, and years of service—making it a lasting and personal symbol of appreciation.

Ed Marks is well known in the Lockney community not only for his public service, but also for his deep patriotism and unwavering dedication to his country. This presentation serves as a heartfelt acknowledgment of both his military service and his continued commitment to serving others.
