FLOYDADA, TX — The Floydada Collegiate ISD Board of Trustees will meet in regular session on Thursday, August 28, at 7:00 p.m. to consider final action on the district’s 2025–2026 budget and tax rate, along with several other key items.
Trustees will review property values, amend the current year’s budget, and vote on the proposed tax rate and new budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The board will also consider transportation supply bids and approve an innovative course offering in general employability skills for students with special education needs.
The meeting will include a special recognition for longtime trustee Kay Brotherton, who has served the district since 2013. The board is also expected to appoint a new member to fill the District 5 seat.
Routine business includes personnel updates, cafeteria staffing, and review of the fund balance.
