STINNETT, TX – The Lockney Longhorns opened their 2025 season on the road against Stinnett West Texas, falling 20–53 in a tough first outing.
The contest gave the team a chance to set the tone for the season, and despite the loss, fans saw plenty to be encouraged about moving forward.
The Longhorns put points on the board, showed flashes of speed on offense, and continued to fight throughout the game.
With week one behind them, Lockney will look to build on those bright spots as they prepare for a rivalry matchup against Floydada this Friday.
