Floydada Collegiate ISD is proud to announce its selection as one of the inaugural participants
in the RAISE AI Collaborative (Rural AI Schools of Excellence), a pioneering joint pilot program
led by Leading Educators, aiEDU, Collegiate Edu-Nation, and the Arizona Institute for Education
and the Economy, powered by Northern Arizona University. The RAISE AI Collaborative is a
system-focused initiative designed to empower rural educators, particularly in Texas and
Arizona, to integrate artificial intelligence into instructional practices in ways that authentically
support student learning. By aligning AI-enhanced teaching with district instructional goals and
systemic policy, the initiative fosters educator-driven innovation over isolated experimentation.

For Floydada Collegiate ISD, this means empowering local educators to lead innovation that
reflects the unique needs and strengths of the community. Rural schools have long been
creative users of technology—such as early distance learning—and RAISE builds on that
tradition by supporting thoughtful, structured experimentation. Rather than piloting isolated tools,
the Collaborative helps districts develop coherent systems that align AI tools with instructional
goals and long-term strategies.

Through participation in RAISE, Floydada Collegiate ISD will engage in co-design sessions and
rapid learning cycles with peers and experts, receive support in crafting AI integration strategies
that align with local values, and help lead instructional practices that can be shared across rural
regions.

“Being selected for the RAISE AI Collaborative is a significant opportunity for Floydada
Collegiate ISD to lead in rural innovation,” said Dr. Gilbert Trevino, Superintendent. “Our
teachers understand our students and community best, and this initiative ensures their expertise
shapes how AI enhances learning—both now and sustainably for the future.”

District teams will participate in a kickoff convening, collaborate with national partners to design
and trial AI-enabled strategies, and actively involve parents, stakeholders, and local partners in
shaping implementation. Updates on progress will be shared through district newsletters, social
media, and local media outlets.

The RAISE AI Collaborative represents a partnership between Leading Educators, aiEDU,
Collegiate Edu-Nation, and the Arizona Institute for Education and the Economy. Together,
these organizations are committed to helping rural districts in Texas and Arizona lead
AI-enhanced, educator-driven instructional innovation that is sustainable and aligned to the
broader vision of public education.
