FLOYDADA — The Floydada City Council approved the city’s 2025–2026 operational budget and adopted the 2025 tax rate during its regular session on Tuesday evening. Councilmembers voted unanimously in favor of the $0.3729644 per $100 tax rate and budget ordinance following two brief public hearings.
In another move, the Council accepted a $61,000 bid from Vela Roofing to replace the roof at the Floydada Senior Citizens Center.
The meeting adjourned shortly after 6:40 p.m. following approval of city bills and minutes from the prior meeting.
