HALE CENTER, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds hit the road Friday night for a non-district matchup against the Hale Center Owls but came up short, falling 62-8.
The Whirlwinds struggled to establish momentum on offense, while the Owls capitalized on their opportunities to take control of the game early.
Despite the loss, Floydada continued to battle through all four quarters, gaining valuable experience as they prepare for the heart of their schedule.
With the defeat, Floydada moves to 0-5 on the season.
The Whirlwinds will take a much-needed bye week before opening district play on Thursday, October 10th, against the Olton Mustangs.
