LUBBOCK, TX — The Floydada High School Whirlwind Band will take the field this Saturday, October 18, at the UIL Marching Band Contest in Lubbock. The event will be held at PlainsCapital Park (Lowrey Field), with performances featuring marching bands from across the region.
The Whirlwind Band has been preparing throughout the fall season, showcasing their show during halftime performances at Floydada football games.
Saturday’s contest will give the band an opportunity to demonstrate their hard work, precision, and musical talent before a panel of UIL judges.
Performance times and results will be announced following the competition.
