Board Approves Changes, Recognizes Students And Staff

The Floydada Collegiate ISD board made several leadership and personnel changes during its September meeting. Trustees accepted the resignation of Carmelita Rodriguez, effective December 31, and approved the hiring of Jennifer Greer as a teaching assistant at Duncan Elementary. Gracie Diaz was appointed as the new board vice president, and Brianne Glasscock was named secretary.

The board also approved its 2025–2026 partnership with SPCAA Head Start, reviewed district investment policies, and adopted new campus improvement plans.

In student and staff recognition, AB Duncan Elementary honored Colbie Sinkhorn and Michael Segura as fourth-grade Students of the Month and recognized Jenna Strickland as Staff of the Month. At the junior high and high school level, FJH honored Addison Hightower and Rhett Rainwater, while FHS recognized Martin Ramirez and Cheyenne Sawyer. Staff of the Month honors went to Sandra Bradley and Laura De Leon.

The next board meeting is scheduled for November 13.
