LOCKNEY, TX — The community is coming together to support Brayden and Kyra Pope of Pope Meat Company through the Brayden Pope Benefit Cookoff, taking place November 7–8, 2025, in Lockney.
The two-day event will be held at 501 E. Eighth Street in Lockney, and promises a weekend full of great food, friendly competition, and community spirit — all for a good cause.
The cookoff is IBCA-sanctioned, and teams can enter for a $200 entry fee, with a 50/50 payout split. Cooking categories will take place on Saturday, November 8th, with turn-in times as follows:
Chicken: 12:00 PM
Ribs: 1:30 PM
