AMARILLO, TX — The Lockney Longhorn Band is once again among the best in Texas, advancing to the UIL State Marching Championships for the third year in a row after an outstanding showing at the Area competition this past weekend.
The Longhorn Band claimed 1st place in prelims and followed it up with a 2nd place finish in finals, earning their ticket to the state contest in San Antonio. Their consistent success highlights the program’s ongoing growth, discipline, and dedication to excellence.
According to the Lockney Longhorn Band Facebook page, the group will depart for San Antonio on Sunday, November 2, rehearse on Monday, November 3, and compete at the Alamodome on Tuesday, November 4.
