LOCKNEY, TX – Lockney High School senior Noah Gonzales recently demonstrated both leadership and compassion through a community project that made a real difference for local animals in need.

As a member of the National Honor Society (NHS), Noah was tasked with completing a project that would positively impact his community. He chose to support the Animal Rescue and Foster Foundation (ARFF) by organizing a bake sale during Lockney’s Annual Halloween Carnival.

With the help of fellow NHS members, Noah raised $170, which will go toward caring for shelter animals and supporting ARFF’s ongoing efforts. The funds raised will help provide food, medical care, and other essentials for animals waiting for their forever homes.

Those who know Noah describe him as kind, dedicated, and driven—a student with a true heart for helping others. Along with his academic success, he is active in several extracurricular activities and plans to continue his education at a university after graduation.

The community and ARFF expressed their heartfelt appreciation for Noah’s efforts, noting that his compassion and initiative are making a lasting impact. His actions serve as an inspiring reminder of how one student’s project can help save lives and encourage others to give back
