FLOYDADA, TX — Two Floydada Junior High cheerleaders are preparing for the trip of a lifetime after earning a spot on the prestigious UCA All-American Cheer Team. Yadirah Briones, an 8th grader, and Jaylee Garcia, a 7th grader, both tried out during this summer’s UCA cheer camp and impressed judges enough to secure their place on the national team.
Their selection gives them the incredible opportunity to travel to Orlando, Florida, where they will represent Floydada in the Varsity Thanksgiving Parade at Walt Disney World. Only a select number of cheerleaders nationwide earn this honor, making their achievement especially significant for the Floydada community.
To help cover travel and related expenses, Yadirah and Jaylee are currently raising funds and would be grateful for any support from friends, family, and supporters of Floydada youth.
