Floydada Council to Review Audit, Hire Manager

FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada City Council is set to meet Tuesday evening to consider a full agenda that includes annual audits, funding requests, and personnel decisions. The regular meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall.

Council members will hear a financial report from Fermin Ramirez of Atlas CPA and review a letter of intent from CCMM CPAs & Advisors. Other items include a request from the Floyd County Museum for HOT funds and a discussion on the 2026–2028 personnel handbook. Fire Chief Chad Guthrie is also scheduled to address the council.

A potential vote to hire a new city manager will take place during the meeting. Council will also review October bills, approve last month’s minutes, and examine cash balances and investments before adjourning.
