LOCKNEY, TX – The Lockney ISD Board of Trustees held its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Administration Building Board Room. The meeting, conducted in compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act and ADA accessibility requirements, began at 5:30 p.m. with the establishment of a quorum.

After the invocation, the board opened the public forum portion of the meeting. No community members spoke during this time.

A highlight of the evening was the recognition of the Lockney High School Band, along with Director Dr. Robert Rumbelow and Assistant Director Jake Henry, for the band’s impressive fourth-place finish at the UIL State Marching Contest. Trustees commended the students and directors for their hard work and strong representation of the district.

The board then reviewed and approved the annual auditor’s report presented by Bolinger, Segars, Gilbert, and Moss LLP for the 2024–2025 fiscal year. Routine business items followed, including approval of the previous meeting’s minutes, payment of bills, and the district’s monthly financial report.

Trustees also considered and approved several budget amendments, along with Localized Policy Manual Update #126. The update included revisions to both (LEGAL) and (LOCAL) policies, reflecting statewide and district-level policy adjustments.

During the superintendent’s report, district leadership provided updates on ongoing activities and upcoming events across Lockney ISD.

With no further business, the meeting was adjourned. The official meeting notice had been posted on November 11, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., in accordance with state requirements.
